ROOTSTIME prod. and the artist FIJI
FIJI is one of the most talented and gifted singers I have had the chance to work with. I have been playing guitar with his band for close to ten years off and on, and have also done some studio sessions with him. The song "Warrior of Love" by FIJI, on the Hobo House on The Hill record label, featured my guitar work and was the key single off the Grammy nominated "Island Warriors" album from Hobo House Records 2000.
Rootstime production has written and produced three songs for FIJI, and co-wrote one more song off his "Grattitude" album in 1999 called, "Queen's Cry." Two songs featured here are off FIJI's "TRANSITION" and "XPERIENCE" albums. The song off the "TRANSITION" album is called, "DiSTANT LOVER" on the Ricochet Records label 2001. And the song off the "XPERIENCE" album is called, "TEQUiLA SUNRiSE" on South PAC entertainment label 2006. The first song is the most recently released riddim from Rootstime prod. it is the Title Track to FIJI's new album called "INDIGENOUS LIFE" on the Indigenous Alliance/Lost Coast label 2008.
