RootsTime New Music: Cera Kymarni debut EP "Island Beeze"
Cera Kymarni : “Island Breeze”
Rootstime production presents new music from singer Cera Kymarni and her debut single “Island Breeze”. Cera is a tremendous singer hailing from the native Maori people of New Zealand. Now living in Australia where she concentrates on her career as a singer song writer, and performer; along with her back-up singers “Lioness Movement.” Cera Kymarni has a style of singing that reflects her gospel influences, along with classic reggae harmony groups like The Heptones, The Silvertones, and The Mighty Diamonds. With a sound like Martha and The Vandellas meets The I-Threes; including three part harmonies, soulful melody lines and vocal riffs with hints of influences from R&B singers Mariah Carey and Lauren Hill.
When Cera Kymarni first heard Rootstime production’s iDrop Riddim, she could feel the harmony and sweet caress of the Island Breeze; and the positive vibrations of the islands: That place where you go to relax, get away, forget the problems of everyday life and feel peace. As an island girl, this song represents her own longing to see other islands in the Pacific, Caribbean and elsewhere: Visions on a sandy beach enjoying the sun, letting go of the rat race and being naturally oneself.
The iDrop Riddim, on which Cera Kymarni debuts her first single “Island Breeze,” also features top reggae artists; Luciano - “Never Leave the Roots”, Freddie McGregor - “For Your Love”, and Musical Sniper aka Rappa Robert - “Gone”; his #1 hit single in the Jamaican National Charts. Syncopation between the drum and bass and organ, rhythm section, and play on a major-minor tone center, have a meditative effect with a swinging grove creating a wide open platform for vocal expression.
This landmark single from Cera Kymarni is a must have for music lovers of all genres around the world. As another top notch singer from New Zealand makes her mark in the music industry: Cera Kymarni - “Island Breeze” takes you to a place where the sunshine and cool breezes soothe your soul! A must have for your music collection...Look forward for the full length album coming soon! On the Rootstime Production Label.
